Stephanie was born in the remote community of Kugaaruk, Nunavut in the central Arctic, which has a population of 900 people but has grown up as an urban Inuk in Winnipeg, Manitoba for the majority of her life. In 2018 Stephanie enrolled into the School of Indigenous Education at Red River College to peruse Social Innovation.
Stephanie has a diverse background in community events, community development, management and consulting with various indigenous social enterprise’s within Winnipeg. Addressing social problems with wholistic and sustainable approaches specially centred around mental wellness in indigenous communities is Stephanie’s passion.
